This is an ancient Italian breed that belongs to the group of Molosser. As a matter of fact the breed is descending directly from the Roman “canis pugnax”. The Cane Corso is an ancient Italian breed. The breed was not officially recognized in Italy till 1994. This is a good working dog that was actually bred for work.
